Creator’s Notes (optional): Sorry for my lack-of-sleep addled posting last night. So basically, it seems the Teleri (or Lindar) have a slightly freer interpretation of LACE than their land-bound fellow Eldar. Atto Fiondil never would have written it of course, but half asleep thinking about it, it seemed like it would possibly work. I may end up writing more about this place, for all I know, it actually kind of intrigues me. No "bonding" level sex in this place - but just about anything else goes as long as it's consensual.
Summary: Celebrian, walking on the shore of Alqualonde and missing Elrond fiercely, has an encounter with a Telerin (Lindarin) elleth that leaves her mystified.

Celebrian did not remember the crossing over the Sea. Perhaps that is best, she thought, as she walked along the gem-strewn silver shore of Alqualonde looking East.

The Sea was a harsh mistress - keeping her separated from her husband and children for she knew not how long. Elrond, she supposed, would one day Sail to join her, but her children had not that assurance, for the Choice lay before them. As the gulls wheeled and cried overhead, and the earnyellor leaped and dove amongst the waves, singing their sad laments, she felt salty tears spilling down her cheeks. “What have I done,” she whispered into the wind, “to deserve this long separation? Why must I linger here alone?”

“Never alone.”

Celebrian started as the scent of wisteria enveloped her. She knew the plant from her daernaneth’s love of exotic scents, but when she turned it was not Lady Baraves, Celeborn’s mother who stood there. Instead she beheld a Telerin elleth, perhaps her own age, or a little older, gowned simply in seafoam white. Her feet were unshod, and her pale silver hair crowned with wisteria blossoms - which explained the scent, of course. But many ellith in Alqualonde wore flower crowns, whether highborn or low. Celebrian could not tell just by looking who this stranger might be. “Pardon?” she asked, frowning at the elleth’s intent gaze.

“I am Silpiel. My mistress sent me to see to your comforts, my lady,” the Telerin woman replied. “I will show you Alqualonde as she ought to be seen, and you will never be lonely again. This, too, is healing.”

Celebrian only dimly understood what Silpiel meant, but followed anyway. Silpiel hailed a canal boat, one of the luntequeni guiding it as they rode through the ‘streets’. The glittering lanterns that shone throughout Alqualonde day and night were of varying colours, but in the sector where they disembarked, the colour surrounding them was a warm orange that reminded Celebrian of citrus fruits, or the last rays of Anor at her setting.

A long, low building - the building of five clam shells, Silpiel explained, on Celma Lirillo - was their destination. Celebrian allowed Silpiel to lead her, and found herself enveloped in warm steam, and all kinds of floral scents as they entered. At first Celebrian was reminded of the Halls of Healing in Imladris, but a sense of unease grew in her as they walked along. In places, the floral scent mingled with the scent of blood, sweat and tears, and tell-tale cries could be heard behind closed doors - the sort of sounds Celebrian only associated with herself and Elrond, alone.

Behind other doors she heard the lashing of whips and the scraping of chains, and a wave of nausea overwhelmed her. “We will not go in there,” Silpiel promised, catching the stumbling Celebrian in her arms. “Not tonight, at least,” she added with a flash of a wicked smile

“Who are you?” Celebrian whispered, fear overwhelming her. “What is this place? How did you enchant me into coming?”

“This is the Court of Pleasures,” Silpiel replied. “Nothing will happen to you that is against your deepest will, I promise you that.”

“The...I had no idea the Eldar partook in such things,” Celebrian sputtered. Silpiel laughed.

“Let the neri have their secrets, my lady. We have our own.”

“Only women come here?” Celebrian asked, shivering at the thought of a strange man’s touch - any male, for even her Elrond had repelled her in that last year.

“Only the nissi,” Silpiel agreed. “Come and meet my mistress, who has arranged for your night of pleasure.”

Overwhelmed, Celebrian allowed herself to be led along meekly, grateful when they entered a private room with a massage bed and a fragrant bath waiting. Another elleth, simply robed, waited to bathe her, but Silpiel gave her obeisance to the older elven woman. “Mistress.”

“Silpiel, thank you. Celebrian, there you are, dear child,” the woman said. Celebrian started at the voice, and looked into eyes just like her mother’s. This elleth was far older, though, and after a moment mentally replacing simple white robes with fine blue silk in her memories, she realized. “Anamille Earille!”

The Queen took Celebrian into her embrace and kissed her brow. “Come, child, let me see to your comfort. All is well and all will be well.”

Dizzily, Celebrian placed herself in her great-grandmother’s capable hands. Yes, she supposed, eventually it would.

Notes:
Earnyellor - Quenya, sea-singers, humpback whales
Luntequeni - Boat-elves, who guide the celmaveni (canal boats)
Celma Lirillo - Lirillo Canal
Anamille - Grandmother, or great-grandmother in this case. Lirille is the name my heart-father Fiondil gave the wife of Olwe.

I'm very here for different interpretations of the LaCE among the different Eldarin people - nothing else makes sense to me! - and I'm also very here for femslash, so this combination hits plenty of my happy buttons. Eeee! :D
