New Round of BINGO Cards Available! (And Clarification about Due Dates)

I have posted below the next round of available BINGO cards to claim. Another batch will be released this weekend; I have a handful almost finished and several created by members that just need numbers put on them. As usual, you can claim cards on the SWG, claim cards on MPTT, or simply comment here with the cards that you would like added to your player page.

I've been asked several times over the past few days about due dates, which tells me that many more people are probably wondering and haven't asked. :) BINGO cards are due by February 21, meaning requests for a card to be created or a card that you have created for yourself. This will give us time to put together your card so that it is available by the first day of the challenge.

There is no due date for claiming BINGO cards. You can claim more cards at any time leading up to or during the challenge. Say, for example, that you don't think you'll have a lot of time to work on creative projects this March, so you decide to only claim three cards. One week into March, something in your schedule changes, and you find yourself with some extra free time. You're welcome to claim more cards then.

And I think there are many in this next round that participants will want to claim. Thank you to Celeritas, Beruthiel, Marta, Oshun, Erulisse, Pengolodh, Candice, Indy, and Allie Meril for this latest batch of cards!

I'm afraid I don't understand what the "I want these cards reservation listing" is. The cards posted here are available to claim on both the SWG and MPTT websites.

I went onto SWG after you posted them and didn't see the new ones listed to claim, so I assumed you hadn't added them quite yet.

So, if in March you call a number and I find that the number corresponds to a prompt on a card that I would be interested in writing, but I haven't claimed that card, can I still claim the card at that point?

It works a wee bit differently. When you claim a card, it won't have numbers yet (above are just examples with numbers). You claim the Bingo card for the theme/prompts we - the mods - put numbers on it *after* you have claimed one. This way we avoid that many participants will have cards with the same numbers on it. I will have a different set of numbers on the same card theme as you might have.

Oh! So each card is tailored for each participant? Good to know. :)

(In hindsight, of course that makes more sense! That's the way real bingo works after all... Each card has different numbers...)

Sorry for the confusion. I am not customizing cards for individual players. The numbers you see on the cards here are always the same for that card. (I would never have time to customize numbers individually.)

However, I am tracking numbers for the cards to make sure that each number has an equally likely chance of being called. That's probably how the confusion over this question arose. :) Sorry again!

Sorry, Kei--there's been some confusion. I am not adding individualized numbers to players' cards. The numbers you see on the cards here are the numbers you get when you claim that card.

I think the confusion arose because there's been some discussion among the event mods over tracking the numbers used on cards so that no number appears more often (or less often) on the cards on offer. So, for example, right now, B4 occurs on about eleven cards, as does I18, G48, O75 ... and so on. :) That makes it so an astute person couldn't scope out which numbers occur most often and claim those cards to increase chances of winning the game.

Lol! I get palpitations even just thinking about that. It takes about five minutes to number a card, and I think there's well over 100 claimed already so ... :^S

Actually, the cards will have the numbers on them that you see here. Sorry for the confusion! There is no way I would have the time to do customized cards (and track numbers!) for every participant. :)

I am, however, tracking numbers on the cards I create, so no single number (B3, for example) will be available on more cards than another number.
