Well, I'm an idiot, having posted to the wrong spot.

So...back to string theory, multiverses and the arcane physics of the Far-Seeing Stones...

In response to prompt I18, palantír, Weapons and Artefacts (or whatever it's called) , Galadriel has written a 500ish word letter to a smith of the Gwaith-i-Mírdain, requesting a commission. The palantíri are referenced therein, and will most certainly be discussed again in nerdly detail in this new Pandë!verse WIP (which I need like another hole in my head or a fish needs a bicycle or something), likely to be a 5 to 6 chapter novella.
