Is there any chance you would like to share with our dear B2MeM participants, which cards did you create?

I know I'm probably too curious, but I like knowing that sort of things. *blushes* So many gorgeous cards were made for this event with so many awesome prompts. I wouldn't mind knowing to whom exactly do I owe my gratitude. So, which cards did you make?

As for the rest of you... do you by any chance have a favourite card or cards? Are there any prompts you were really looking forward to writing, but the number wasn't called? Any cards you wished you could have claimed, but didn't because you already had too many of them or didn't have enough time?

I made "Canon Couples" and "Shirish"! They were both fun to make.

I enjoyed writing for the Canon Couples myself, but was rather disappointed that more hobbit couples were not called-- I had made it very carefully to be sure to include characters of all races, but it seemed the ones called most frequently were Men or Elves!

I made the Write What You Know and Let's Get Meta cards; very fun to come up with prompts for those.

I adored all of the cards I claimed for B2MeM, but I'd like to give a special shout-out to the authors of Book Titles and Song Lyrics, from which I got a lot of great inspiration (and whoever made the Song Lyrics one has awesome taste in music, btw). Also Crackfic, because those were just so much fun, and Femslash, because those prompts really challenged me in a good way. Also Dwim's AU card, of course, which was pretty great--wish I could have written more for it.

As for prompts I wish had been called or didn't have time to write for...too many to list!

I made...

The AU Card
Powers of the World
Off the Map's Edge
Riddle Me Writerly

Or rather, I submitted the prompts, and Dawn and the mods did all the cool graphics, because I am a luddite.

I very much enjoyed playing the Femslash card, Magic and Real, and Economy; of course, I had to play both the Aragorn cards and Rangers of the North. I mean, how could I possibly NOT? There were so many cool cards, some of which were just so pretty, I was feeling grabby just for their looks, but I would've gone insane trying to write for all of them. I probably should've grabbed Causes of Death and Injuries and Ailments just because of the amount of deathfic I ended up writing... *cough* Oh well. I was there in spirit!

Favourites -- ummm. Besides the Maglor cards that forced me to write a multipart fic, you mean? Heh.

I had great cards but specially loved Beachy & Coastly and had hoped for more numbers on that and Review a Story. Oh and Song Lyrics is stunning!

I made the Women of the Silmarillion, Femslash, and Horror cards. :) Also put together the Waters and Of the Sea cards, but the prompts on those were submitted by other people; don't know who, but I'd be interested in finding out!

I'm so glad people played the Femslash card! :D Tolkien fandom needs more of that.

I did not chose that card, but wished I had much later in the month. I think I will have a second look at it for future inspiration.

I really liked the cards I ended up using, but I also had so many cards that I wished I had grabbed. Especially the Maglor in History cards, which I feared would be too much work / would all end up like this. That would have been tragic.

I was really hoping I30, I24, and O74 would have been called, but I might just write them anyway.

Agreed! Maybe it would be fun to have a semi-regular Women of Arda prompt somewhere in fandom. Some of them could be femslash prompts, but all of them should be premised on passing the Bechdel test (while allowing for suitable deconstruction of what the Bechdel test does and does not mean).

Thank you for the Femslash card - it was awesome! I would've done more Women of the Silm, it's just that I don't know them as well as other women, and B2MEM comes right at midterms, which sucks. Oh well. It's not like I didn't make time to do it, obviously! Eep!

I made *deep breath* Adûnaic, Book Titles, Controversial Topics, Crackfic, Crossover1, Discoveries and Inventions, Elven Realms, Evil, Villains and Monsters, Food and Drink of Middle-earth, Quenya and Sindarin, Rare Characters, and Song Lyrics, and pestered Dawn to let me help with the graphics design of a few more for the prompts that people had submitted: All Creatures, Foul and Fair, Food, Here We Come A-Caroling, Hobbits, Hurt/Comfort, In a Manner of Speaking, Second Age, The Silmarillion vs. Harry Potter Character Matches, The Steward and His Sons, and Winter Wonderland. Going ever so slightly overboard with that as with most everything else this round, but both thinking up and creating cards was such fun! :D?

It's really really hard to pick favourites, though, because combining prompts was the real challenge - but I loved the AU, Economy, Fëanátics, Femslash, Four Words and Write What You Know cards, while TVTropes of Tolkien gets my nomination for the most devious card simply for the timesink potential involved with it. :D Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the rest of the cards - they were all fabulous, and I can't wait to play again!

I didn't make any cards, but I loved three that I chose: the AU card, Sons of Feanor and Weapons and Artifacts.

I only had five numbers called on the AU card, which was a pity because all the prompts were positively mouth-watering.

Most of my numbers were on the Sons of Feanor card, but I loved the other prompts too.

I wish I could have claimed the Canon Couples and Women of the Silmarillion cards too, but I thought I wouldn't have enough time to write all the stories I wished. :(

I think you win the prize for most fanatical B2MEM artist of the 2012 B2MEM season... I thought *I* was going overboard with card-creation, but now I have the measure for true insanity.

The femslash card was amazing, I agree! :D And I do love your suggestion - maybe even worth setting up a community for?

Write What You Know was fantastically inspirational, and I never got behind the concept before - did so here, at least I think I did. :)

Book Titles, Song Lyrics (eek! :D) and Crackfic maker here - so glad you enjoyed them!

I collected the prompts for 4 cards: TVTropes of Tolkien, Languages of Arda, Forth Eorlingas!, and Second Age. I know Dawn did the graphics for TVTropes, and Elleth took care of Second Age, but I'd love to know who did the graphics for the other two, 'cause they turned out so beautifully!

For me, inspiration really struck with the Adunaic, Economy, Women of the Silmarillion, and TVTropes cards. I really enjoyed writing for a few prompts from the Silmarillion vs. Harry Potter card as well: it was so fun to re-cast the HP characters into the Silm! :D The Controversial Topics card was also really great, and I wish that some numbers for that one had been called.

Ooo, Women of the Silm was a great card! I really enjoyed the flexibility it gave with its prompts.

Just know that Dawn has a full list of who created what with the bingo cards :) She is planning to share this when she gets back.

But for those curious, I came up with the prompt and art for Archery in Arda and The Eligible Bachelor Baggins. I pitched in when help was needed for making bingo cards. The artwork I did for those are: Riddle me Writerly, Cause of Death, Powers & Underpowers, The Diner's club and Beachly & Coastly. Other than that I have been responsible for the stamps creation, the awards/price ribbons, badges and artwork for this community and some other stuff...

I forgot to add... I initially only wanted to play the reviews card because of my busy real life. But then the Maglor in History 1 card popped up, I fought to resist that one but [livejournal.com profile] keiliss asked me if I could write prompts of those and I wrote the prompts for her. Then Maglor in History 2 popped up and I caved in as well. Then I made the card Powers and Underpowers and I swayed, then the Femslash card and then some more... For self-protection I sat on my hands the rest of February and March because there are only so many hours in a day.

Thanks! My working title for that card was "The Lazy Girl's Guide to B2MeM," though I'm so pleased that it produced a lot of fantastic, decidedly non-lazy responses.

And thanks so much for those three wonderful cards. The Song Lyrics, for me, was a great mixture of familiar and unfamiliar artists, so I got some great new music listening out of it as an added bonus.

P.S. OMG your Disco Melkor icon.

That would be fun. Alternately, we could also premise fics on failing the equivalent of the male Bechdel test (allowing for suitable deconstruction). Or, maybe that's just me being vindictive and reactionary. Probably the latter.

I'll add to the chorus of thank-you's for the Femslash card. I think most of my B2MeM works with which I'm personally the most happy came from that card. It was kind of a last-minute claim for me, and I'm very glad I did.
