Summary:  A Rohirric Tradition is observed by a new generation

Eomer, freshly blooded from his first skirmish against orcs, stared dubiously at the foaming mug in his hand, then at the pile of waiting tankards and the oversized keg of ale nearby. 

He jumped as his royal cousin slapped a calloused hand down on his mail-clad shoulder.  “Come, lad, you showed those orcs to fear your sword and spear today.  Now it’s time for the other test of manhood.”  Theodred leaned forward and whispered in Eomer’s ear, “I’ve got 5 silver pieces riding on you.”

With that vote of confidence, Eomer raise his mug towards his competitor and began drinking.
