Finrod and Beren depart Nargothrond with ten companions: Finrod’s friend Edrahil, and nine others who are never named. Who are they, and why do they follow Finrod? Are all of them Noldorin? Are all of them men? (Not necessarily, would be my answer...)

Action/adventure set during the Saddest Roadtrip Ever would rock this prompt, as would backstory and/or worldbuilding fic set before they all get eaten by wolves! :D

This is a great prompt, but gah! it calls for a long, thoughtful fic.

Maybe I should just write a drabble in which most of the others follow him because he owes them money.

Long and thoughtful? Yeah, I'd be totally over the moon! But you should bear in mind that I was a mouse-click away from labeling this prompt "Finrod, Edrahil, and Nine Little Werewolf Lunches," so crack would also...definitely be appropriate.

...and your Finrod does seem like the type to blithely rack up debt. No pressure, but I hope you'll write it!
