My dearest darling Maitimo
our separation wounds me so
I can't deny, it must be said
I miss you fucking in my bed.

Although I know we've had our trials

I have a feeling their smutty poetry is the reason Maglor decided he was done with the world and spent the rest of time wandering. It just doesn't scan as well in terms of mythic grandeur if his laments are about his incestuous relatives and their lewd little verses, hence the Noldolante.

Unless that's about the time one of them suffered erectile dysfunction and the rest was lost in translation.

You know, I'm at least 40-60% sure that erectile dysfunction is one of the less heralds parts of the Doom of the Noldor. Completely ignored in fanfiction, where everyone can get it up/get wet/always has lube/always has lembas-flavored condoms, etc.
