Summary:   A true craftsman puts as much effort and care into the small projects as he puts into the large ones.

The wood was smooth under his hands as Aule softly sang a song of making, a song which echoed the consonance of the first Song which had created Ea. Graceful lines of branches and leaves grew along the grain, and into the cradle he placed a blessing for the babe which would be laid therein.

Whether the material was metal, wood or jewels, the Smith made for the making’s sake.  The power that had brought into being planets and stars equally imbued all he made with love; whether a fireplace mantle, a spear … or a cradle for a babe.
