B2MeM Prompt and Path: Fanworks Recs: Favorite Relationship (yellow path)
Format: rec list
Genre: het, various
Rating: various
Warnings: various
Characters: Éowyn, Faramir, others
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir

Love Among the Ruins by Altariel
Format: short story (1483 words)
Genre: het
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Characters: Éowyn, Faramir
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir
Summary: Meanwhile, in the Houses of Healing...

This fic is set after the departure of Aragorn and the armies of the West for Mordor, while Éowyn and Faramir are waiting to learn what will happen. Éowyn’s mood is still dark and despairing, which feels in-character. I like how Faramir first wins her attention and respect by respecting her enough to tell her plainly what he thinks will happen if the Dark Lord wins. But it’s also a hopeful fic, because at the same time as they’re considering the worst, they also take a moment to imagine what life could be like if Sauron is defeated. And Altariel’s writing is just beautiful.

Blue Mantle by Dreamflower
Format: dribble (56 words)
Genre: het, romance, poetry
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Characters: Faramir, implied Eowyn
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir

I like this poem -- quiet and beautiful.

Daisy Chains by Linda Hoyland
Format: ficlet (540 words)
Genre: het, romance
Rating: PG
Warnings: none
Characters: Éowyn, Faramir
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir
Summary: In the Houses of Healing, Faramir tries to win at least a smile from Éowyn.

A moment of hope and connection between Éowyn and Faramir. This fic made me smile.

Heart of the Storm by Raksha The Demon
Format: ficlet (459 words)
Genre: angst, drama, het, romance
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Characters: Éowyn, Faramir
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir
Summary: Those who have endured the winds of war cannot always rest easily. In the depths of the night, dreams can submerge a sleeper in darkness and wake him in dread...A ficlet inspired by a Halloween night.

This ficlet is beautifully written, showing a hard-earned moment of peace and defiance of the darkness.

The Bride Price by sian22
(also on MPTT)
Format: short story (9826 words)
Genre: het, romance
Rating: PG13
Warnings: none
Characters: Éowyn, Faramir, Lothíriel, Éomer, Aragorn, Arwen, Imrahil, others
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir, Éomer/Lothíriel
Summary: Of all the negotiations the new King of Gondor mediated in his first year, this was surely the most perilous.......

Faramir deals with Rohan’s betrothal customs, culminating in a challenge to go through an obstacle course while carrying his bride (with Éowyn’s willing assistance). I’m not sure I can imagine this happening in canon, but this fic is really fun. The romance is very sweet, and I enjoyed seeing Faramir and Éowyn working together to overcome (literal) obstacles. I like the family relationships here too.

Anniversaries by Timemidae
Format: ficlet (197 words)
Genre: het, hurt/comfort, fluffish
Rating: T
Warnings: trauma, illness
Characters: Éowyn, Faramir
Pairings: Éowyn/Faramir
Summary: Each year Eowyn and Faramir must shake the grasp of winter anew, but always together. (I.e. March is a rough time, but they see each other through.)

Simple and powerful. I can well believe that everything they went through would have a lingering effect on them, but at least they can face it together.
