B2MeM Prompt and Path: Acts of Kindness through rolling a Wild (green path) "Write a rec list of at least five fanworks."
Format: rec list
Genre: Gen
Rating: various
Warnings: none
Characters: various, Mostly hobbits with some Men
Pairings: none
Summary: Five my favorite stories (though I have many)

Title: The River
Author: Indigo Bunting
Rec reason: One of the most captivating WIP in fandom- this fic explores the events from Hollin and Caradhras and makes it an adventure story where the Fellowship encounters cruel ruffians that they have to defeat in order to continue. The action, adventure, comfort and dialogue are all there and it’s my favorite type of fic.

Title: By the River
Author: Lindahoyland
Rec reason: Anniversary stories are one of my favorites and since Faramir doesn’t get as many attention as other characters (at least i feel) i enjoyed this story for its thoughtfulness and i loved how Aragorn gave the comfort that Faramir needs. This author’s Faramir and Aragorn friendship fics are one of the best.

Title: Light Out of Darkness
Author: Shirebound
Rec reason: Since Frodo is one of my favorite characters, the author did right by having a series of ficlets that deal with the concept of light and relating it to one other character. Very thoughtfully done and really complementary to the book.

Title: Currents
Author: Thundera Tiger
Rec reason: an introspective look into what Frodo was thinking as he traveled down Anduin. Weaving the book quotes and her own writing is seamless and i am impressed. This author never disappoints with her stories.

Title: The Accidental Book Club of Bag End
Author: Grey_wonderer
Rec reason: So true and so funny, this story is why some of us think the The Hobbit movies aren’t as good as the books and have our hobbits tell us where the confusion lies. This author is the master of humor and i love how she writes here hobbits!

Aww, thank you, Baggins. I really appreciate the rec.

You've also rec'd one of my favorite multi-chapter tales; The River. I love everything about that story. It contains one of my favorite depictions of Legolas ever and it's such a grand adventure.
