Summary: Celebrimbor gets dropped in front of Stark Tower
As calls from the West and from the East wrenched Celebrimbor’s spirit between them, he felt a third way open up to him, neither West nor East, north nor south, up nor down, but another direction entirely. He threw himself into it, the vast possibilities of the unknown preferable to what either Sauron or Mandos had planned for him.
He regained his awareness, to his surprise, in a body whole and unhurt. He knelt on dirty grey pavement, brilliant towers of glass rising all around him, the babble of an unknown tongue filling his ears.
A figure in shining red and gold armor descended from the sky and alighted next to him. Now he supposed he would discover if this place’s dangers were worse than what he had escaped. The helm's visor flipped open to reveal a middle-aged Man who seemed to be asking him a question.
“I don't speak your language,” he said, just to demonstrate the point, though he knew his grandfather would be very disappointed in him if he didn't immediately do his best to learn.
The Man adopted more legible body language and gestured to the nearest building, seeming to invite Celebrimbor to follow him inside.
