We can't give stamps for a spot that's not yet been called, if I'm understanding the question correctly. Now, if you write the story anyway and that space is called, then if you add something new to the story, you can claim that stamp as well.
The basic rule is that, to claim a stamp, you should create something new when that number is called, whether starting something from scratch or adding to an existing piece. :)

Date: 2012-03-01 02:27 am (UTC)I'm going to make a separate comment here for your claim, since your author name is different from your LJ handle. We divide up card-stamping responsibilities alphabetically by author, so it becomes really easy for the person assigned to the M's to overlook, even if they know the connection, when sifting through many comments.
