Format: Personality Quiz
Genre: crack/humour
Rating: general
Warnings: none
Characters: various first age artifacts

Creator’s Notes (optional): I finally finished the promised quiz, and thus my bingo for the Poetic Language card! Let me just say I put way too much thought into something so nonsensical ^-^''
Many thanks to cupofcopper over on tumblr for inspirational support, and to [personal profile] zhie for suggesting making a quiz in the first place! :D
Summary: What it says on the tin.

Which First Age Artifact are you?

(I couldn't get rid of the function that asks for your name at the beginning - just type in whatever.)

B2MeM Card, Prompt, and Number: I25; Symbolism
Format: Ficlet (119 words)
Genre: Gen
Rating: G
Warnings: N/A
Characters: Galadriel, Melian (mentioned)
Pairings: N/A
Creator’s Notes: Though it is never outright mentioned in canon, Galadriel must have gone to the Gardens of Lórien, or else she wouldn’t have based her realm off of them. And, knowing this, there is no reason to believe she wouldn’t have at least vaguely known Melian before coming to Middle-earth. (Except that I think Melian left before Galadriel’s time. But I am realizing this just now as I write the Creator’s Notes, so that is probably an error in my writing.) Also, I sort of stole my (heavy-handed) symbolism from Julia Holter, who sort of “stole” it from Etel Adnan.
Summary: Galadriel comes to the Garden’s of Lórien to escape the tension of the rest of Valinor. But todag the Gardens are not as peaceful as she had hoped.

Format: Ficlet
Genre: gapfiller,
Rating: Teens
Warnings: canon-typical violence
Characters: Carcharoth
Pairings: Carcharoth/Ilmarë
Creator’s Notes (optional):This grew out of my reading the description for Synecdoche - "a figure of speech by which a part is put for the whole" and somehow immediately thinking of Beren's hand with the Silmaril being dug out of Carcharoth belly. Then when I started writing, I got derailed by thinking to much about Carcharoth, and this happened.

Creator’s Notes: Also inspired by the SWG Challenge Love Actually. The phrase “wheeling stars” is a direct quote from Tolkien, not my own invention. All characters etc.. belong to J.R.R Tolkien and the Tolkien Estate. I am merely playing with them.
This is my first sonnet, so I’m enjoying breaking into the form.
Summary: After Thingol’s death, Melian reflects on their life together and what happens next.
