B2MeM Challenge: General Prompts: oppression and tolerance in Middle-earth.
Format: Short story - 1500 words.
Genre: History, Politics, Slash
Rating: PG
Warnings: One instance of strong language (in Quenya). Discussion of casual violence and homophobia.
Characters: Fingon, OC
Pairings: Fingon/Maedhros, OC/OMC
Creators' Notes (optional): The 'closet' in the title is an archaic usage of the word: it refers to a small room, such as a study or office. Of course, it also has another meaning....
Summary: A follow-up to Twenty Two Words and Reprimand And Redress. Ninnachel has been called in to see Fingon again, and this time it's much less stressful an experience, for them both.

B2MeM Challenge: Rivendell: dancing.
Format: Short Story - 1200 words.
Genre: Gen, Humour
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Characters: Bilbo, Estel (Aragorn), Elladan, Elrohir
Pairings: implied Erestor/Glorfindel, Elrond/ALL THE SINGLE LADIES (platonically)
Creators' Notes: The title is a quote from a song in The Hobbit, one of my favourites, that the Elves sing to Bilbo as a 'lullaby'. ("Your lullaby would waken a drunken goblin!" - Bilbo)
Summary: On his way home from the events of The Hobbit, Bilbo has a conversation with young Estel, and a dance with Elladan.

B2MeM Challenge: Anything dated from the shores of Cuiviénen to the early days of the march across the mountains to the sea. My favorite possible character would be Beleg mentioned in The of Lay of the Children of Húrin as:

. . . It was Beleg the hunter,
who farthest fared of his folk abroad
a hunting by hill and hollow valley,
Who care not for concourse and commerce of men.
He was great of growth and goodly limbed,
But light of girth, and lightly on the ground
His footsteps fell as he fared towards them,
All garbed in grey and green and brown—
A son of the wilderness who wist no sire.

That last line indicates to me that he was born on the shores of Cuiviénen. I talked about his origins in my character bio on the SWG site.

B2MeM Challenge: “Aragorn is raised without knowledge of his true name, and presumably without any contact from his extended relatives. What is it like for him to be reunited with his family when he leaves Rivendell to live among the Dúnedain for the first time?” -[livejournal.com profile] zopyrus
Format: Short Story
Genre: Gen
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Characters: Aragorn, Halbarad, Dírhael, Ivorwen, Nethril (OFC), Adanel (OFC), Finnael (OFC)
Pairings: Ivorwen/Dírhael
Summary: In the two months since Aragorn’s return to the Dúnedain, he has relied on his extended family to help him adjust to life among the Rangers. But he has yet to meet his grandfather…
Creators' Notes: This is the first chapter of a novel(la) I have been working on for some time, that focuses on the year following Aragorn’s return to the Dúnedain. I hope to have the beast completed before the summer, but in the meantime, this chapter stands well enough on its own, and fit nicely into the above prompt. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] zopyrus and [livejournal.com profile] cairistiona7 for the beta!
