Use of the bookkeeper is strictly voluntary. If you wish to keep track of your farthings on your own, that’s perfectly fine. If you wish to have [livejournal.com profile] zopyrus's help, you must post here.

The bookkeeper can help you with keeping track of how many farthings you have, help you figure out how many reviews or services you need to make to get out of debt (for example, if you offer too many prompts), and similar things.

If you wish to use the bookkeeper, please comment to this post with the following information:

Number of prompts offered:
Number of prompts purchased:
Number of reviews given:
Number of services given:
What you need help with (double-checking, debt, etc.):

Any further comments you make for help should be posted as a reply to your original comment thread.

Number of prompts offered: 1 for now
Number of prompts purchased:
Number of reviews given:
Number of services given: (is there any service that doesn't involve making shiny banners and icons? they are very lovely but I am not artistically inclined, however I want to help somehow)
What you need help with (double-checking, debt, etc.): both of those things, I'm not in debt yet but I may get there lol, this place looks fantastic :D

Great! I'll keep checking back here to keep track of your total. Right now you have 10 farthings left. :)

I completely lost track of which prompts I've adopted. And it's past 1 AM and my brain is fried. *headdesk* I need to sleep, but could one of the mods track down my prompts for me? Sorry to be a bother...I'm currently working on the young Faramir one, so that's the one fresh in my mind, but I know I claimed several others including a number of Dreamflower's...I don't even know if any of the prompts I supplied have been bought yet, though I think not. Maybe they're not good enough? *doubts self* :(

*tired kaylee is tired*

Hi Kaylee!

I can double-check your prompts for you, although I won't have a chance until later tonight. I'll post here when I have your total. :)

Hi Kaylee! I checked through all the pages and the summary so far is:

Prompts you purchased (7):

"Frodo, Bilbo and/or Sam; gen,Tol Eressëa"
"Nimloth, gen, character study"
"Dunedain OFCs, daily life, gen/het/femslash"
"Faramir, gen, family/hurt/comfort, possibly AU"
"Bilbo Baggins, Belladonna Took Baggins, Bungo Baggins, gen or het"
"Thranduil & Wood-Elves, gen, feasting in the forest"
"Bilbo; others; gen"

Prompts you offered (4):

"Elu and Celeborn, gen, het, uncle/nephew relationship"
"Ringwraiths, AU (probably), post-Ring War, gen"
"Aragorn and Gandalf, gen, in the East or South"
"Teen Wolf wolves fall into Greenwood/Mirkwood"

That means you spent a total of 11 farthings, bringing you down to 4. But since you made those two promotional posts (worth 2 farthings each), you really have a total of 8.

And I don't think you should doubt your prompts! I've seen lots of people posting about how they've been holding off claiming anything, so I'm sure that as March begins we'll see a lot more activity! :)

Yes, there are! Here are some options:

~ setting up the 2015 B2MeM collection on AO3
~ playlists or vids
~ promotion posts (including a link to the rules and to the stall masterpost) in communities/groups/etc. other than SWG, MPTT, Arda Inspired, and Henneth-Annun, though please check first to make sure a promo is okay.
~ cheerleading other participants (a good place for that would be making a post in the [livejournal.com profile] b2memsupport comm)
~ setting up a beta finder post on the support comm

So if I were to promote it at the group I mod at (LOTR_Dfic), how would I have them participate here? (I'm still rather new to this whole modding thing, lol, I want to get it right.)

If your members have LJ accounts, there's nothing special involved. They don't even have to be members of the B2MeM community to post.

If they don't have LJ accounts and only want to post prompts and review fanworks, they can do so "anonymously," meaning they have to sign the anon comment with a screenname. (Anon comments are automatically screened for spam prevention, and we-the-mods won't unscreen unsigned comments.) If they wish to post a fanwork in the community, they will need to get a free LJ account. (There's also a version of OpenID available.)

We encourage crossposting, so anything posted here for B2MeM can also be posted on LOTR_Dfic.

I've posted to LOTR_Dfic (took me a while to write up a proper mod post - I'm not in practice! *lol* ) I included links to this journal, to MPTT, to SWG and AO3. I figured those would be helpful.

I've now posted a promotion to a Facebook group I belong to, Dangerverse (it's off topic to the group, but off topic and random is often the order of the day there, and it is a fanfic 'verse fangroup, so...) My friend Casey, who's already added a few prompts (one of which I snatched up) comes from that group and I told her privately, so I thought it might be a good idea to let the rest of the Dangerverse fans know. Is that another two farthings? (Or is it four, for telling Casey separately and getting her here? o.O)

I think I've just earned two farthings by promoting the Faire on my own group, right? I've lost count again *the kaylee arafinwiel is the terrible with numbers* lol :)

I have lost control of my farthing count again. Help?! Now there's comments to think of too - I'm assuming only story-relevant comments count, and I'm not sure if only first reviews or also subsequent remarks on the stories count, either...or if comments discussing my stories with those who reviewed on mine count? (guessing probably not, to that last one)

I will double-check with the mods, but I believe you get one farthing per work reviewed (so even if you leave several follow-up comments about a fic, only your first review counts). And I'm pretty sure you're right--replying to others' reviews on your own fic wouldn't earn you farthings.

In the meantime, could you please let me know how many reviews you left, and if you've added/bought any prompts since the last time we checked in with each other. Your previous total (with a list of all your prompts) is posted up here (http://b2mem.livejournal.com/278595.html?thread=4249923#t4249923).

I'll let you know the final word from the mods asap! :)

Word from the mods is that we get one farthing per work reviewed...so commenting on fic more than once (which I've done plenty of, there have been some great discussions already) only counts for one farthing.

As soon as you let me know how many fics you have reviewed, I can let you know your total! :)

I'm sorry, but [livejournal.com profile] lignota's already set one up for us here. It's a general B2MeM with subcollections for the individual years. It'll hopefully be opened and announced here in the comm sometime this weekend.
