RE: WANT TO KNOW HOW TO STOP COUNTING?
Date: 2015-03-01 11:13 pm (UTC)You've also created banners! So you get 2 farthings each for those. So you'll probably end the month rich in farthings ... but the thought is that those who do give back to the community (through supporting other writers, volunteering, etc) shouldn't have to worry about claiming prompts or writing them. There have certainly been B2MeMs where everyone is so busy writing and posting that pieces get very few comments, and while preventing that wasn't a stated aim of the farthing system, I think it will certainly help. After all, this isn't just about writing like a mad fiend for a month; it is also about meeting new people and supporting each other! :)
Adding that I probably won't keep track of my comments for the simple fact that I doubt I'll need that many farthings so it won't be worth the bother. If it turns out I do, I can go back through old entries and count them up.
