Creators' Notes (optional): For different B2MeM '12 prompts, I started three separate stories in each of which Caranthir defended the achievements of the Dwarves against critical brothers. I never finished any of these stories and doubt that I ever will, so now I finally condensed them into a drabbles to make up a short series, with Curufin as the offending party each time. Sorry, Curufin.

The 'stereotypes' prompt is supposed to apply to the Dwarves, but meta-wise, I suppose my treatment of Caranthir also applies. ;)

Summary: Curufin is unimpressed with Caranthir's neighbours. Caranthir showcases some of their achievements to change his brother's mind.

"According to the Romans, the basic principle of the law is that agreements should be respected under all circumstances. Do you agree with this? As a matter of principle, I disagree with absolute principles. ;) "Under all circumstances" is always a recipe for trouble. Which is why I have made a historical character, hm, not break but rethink this principle. Of course, "agreement" is a relatively weak translation...
