Summary: In another dimension this is exactly what's happening: Fingon and Maedhros visit Nargathrond, and Finrod sees things he really doesn't want to.

B2MeM Challenge: Multi-Age: Maglor in history. (This is the prompt that got me started thinking along these lines, but the story as finished doesn't really fit it at all.)
Multi-Age: Idioms & Translations. (There's a tiny bit of this one in there.)
General Prompts: Cultural Identification, connection with land, culture. (Bit of this one in there too.)
General Prompts: Walt Whitman's Song of Myself. (This one's probably the most to blame; I could mine this poem for stories for years!)
Format: Short story - 3800 words.
Genre: Crackfic, Experimental, Family, AU
Rating: PG-13 maybe (I'm really not sure how to rate this, but it probably shouldn't be read by kids.)

Main character death, from a certain perspective.

Creators' Notes (optional): So I was thinking of various ways to send Maglor home, and this is the wildest idea I could come up with, so of course I had to write it.
Summary: Maglor has one chance to put everything right again, and he's going to take it.

Creators' Notes (optional): I am not sure that this fulfills all aspects of Samtyr’s very inspired prompt. My initial reading of the prompt focused on the evidence itself and not quite so much the possible ramifications for any of the Eldar who still linger among us.

Characters: Elrond, Gil-galad, Celebrian, Aragorn, Arwen, Lindir, Maedhros, Maglor, Finrod, Beor, Elladan & Elrohir, various others
Pairings: Elrond/Gil-galad, Elrond/Celebrian, referenced Fingon/Maedhros, Finrod/Beor, and Aragorn/Arwen
Creators' Notes (optional): The specific 'answer' to the prompt is "I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye' although the theme of the prompt runs through the whole series.
Summary: This is a series of double and triple drabbles about Elrond's life, as inspired by lines from Savage Garden's song 'Affirmation'.
