OCs are ours. https://archiveofourown.org/works/16915254/chapters/39741054 She has given me permission to post this story (my gift to her) and to link hers. In brief, Oropher and his brother Vehiron are the sons of Celeborn's first cousin Celepharn, who died in the Fall of Doriath. Felith is Oropher's future wife and Thranduil's mother, but at this point she is a commoner, a weaver, and her grandfather's ward; he doesn't approve of Lord Oropher trying to court her.
Summary: After dealing with Oropher and Vehiron's misbehaviour and grief, and hearing Oropher's anger at Master Alfirindir out, Celeborn goes for a walk on the beach to collect his thoughts. But he's not as alone as he thinks, and the Lord of the Sindar doesn't have to be strong for everyone...
